One-Step Fabrication of Superomniphobic Pvdf-HFPSiO2Membrane for Long-Term CO2 Absorption inMembrane Gas Absorption System
Abstract: Membrane pore wetting is one of the major challenges for membrane gas absorption, especially when low surface tension liquid absorbents such as amine absorbents are utilized. To minimize diffusion resistance across the membrane, maintaining a non-wetted operating mode in membrane gas absorption is crucial. In this study, a superomniphobic polyvinylidene fluoride-cohexafluoropropylene membrane was fabricated by adding silica nanoparticles (SiO2) in an ethanol coagulation bath through non-solvent-induced phase separation. The surface …

Utilization of Waste Groundnut Shell Ash in Zero Cement Concrete
Abstract: Currently, geopolymer concrete serves as an excellent alternative to traditional plain cementconcrete, as it is produced without using ordinary Portland cement. Different source materials suchas fly ash, rice husk ash, metakaolin, red mud etc. are preferred to act as the main source forgeopolymer production. In this work, a new innovative waste material such as groundnut ash isutilized as the source material for the manufacture of geopolymer concrete by considering thestrength, …

TYPES and CHARACTERISTICS of MILIARIA
Abstract: Flotation method is majorly availed in two sectors: mining industry (for separation of metal ores) and in wastewater treatment process (both for municipal and industrial wastewaters) for separation of suspended solids, emulsions, chemical sludge or excess sludge. Traditional flotation relies on floating of solids (mainly suspended solids) on the top of the liquid by air bubbles (in conventional process they have and average diameter of 100–300 μm). Better separation effect …

Analysis of Viability Index and Growth of Regenerated Cyanobacteria Following Long-Term Preservation in Calcium Alginate Beads
Abstract: Samples were collected from Nagaon and Dhemaji districts of Assam differing significantly in pH and temperature for cyanobacterial isolation. Isolates were partially characterized, and pure cultures of the isolates were immobilized for preservation. Thirty two cyanobacterial strains were isolated from 13 different soil and water samples. Nostoc was the most abundant genus in the collection (42%). This was followed by Anabaena (22%), Fischerella (19%), Synechococcus (6%), and Calothrix (5%). For …

Calibration of Temperature Sensor -Thermocouple and Thermistor in Food Processing Retorts
Abstract: The given thermocouple and thermistor are calibrated using stirred liquid bath method. The plot of voltage vs. temperature is drawn for the thermocouple and it is almost nonlinear and consistent with theoretical polynomial equation. Further, it is observed that there is no significant hysteresis of the temperature range of 0°C and 100°C. The nonlinear curve for the thermistor is obtained when the resistance against temperature is plotted. The constant β …
